Feng Shui Bedroom Guide for Better Sleep

卧室风水指南

7 min read

Your bedroom is the most important room in Feng Shui practice because it's where you spend roughly one-third of your life. The energy here directly affects your health, relationships, and overall vitality. A well-arranged bedroom supports restful sleep, romantic harmony, and morning energy.

The bed is the centerpiece of bedroom Feng Shui. Known as the "command position," your bed should be placed against a solid wall with clear sight of the door, but not directly in line with it. This arrangement provides security while maintaining awareness of opportunities entering your life.

Never place your bed under a window or exposed beam. Windows create fluctuating energy (too cold when closed, too drafty when open), while overhead beams create oppressive "压迫" (oppression) energy that can cause health issues and relationship tension.

The rule of pairs applies to the bedroom: two nightstands (or lamps), two pillows (even if sleeping alone), and paired objects in general. This creates balanced energy that supports partnership, whether you're in a relationship or seeking one.

Electronic devices in the bedroom - phones, tablets, TVs - emit disruptive EMF energy and stimulate the mind when it should be resting. Remove these from your sleeping space or turn them off at least an hour before bed for optimal sleep quality.
